AirCell® Radiating Cable

AirCell® Radiating cables are designed to function as a dual continuous, evenly distributed antenna. This design enables communications to continue seamlessly.

Wireless Distributed Communication Systems (WDCS)

WDCS offers RF communication systems for confined areas. It enables people to use their mobile radios and cellular phones in areas not normally covered with RF signals.

WDCS provides coverage for:

  • Analogue security and emergency services, in frequency range of 75 to 150 MHz (police, fire department, rescue/emergency service)
  • Analogue cellular networks, in the frequency range of 400 to 900 MHz (NMT and AMPS)
  • Digital cellular networks, in the frequency range of 450 to 2,650 MHz (TETRA 380, TETRA 450, TETRA 800, CDMA/TDMA 800, SMR, GSM-R, PMRS, , GSM 900, GSM 1800, PCN/PCS 1900, UMTS 2100, W-CDMA 2100)
  • Wireless data transmission at 2.400 MHz (Wireless LAN, 802.11 Ethernet, Bluetooth)
  • Broadcast services (in the frequency range of FM, VHF, and UHF; DAB and DVB)

In-building Structures
Large building structures often have RF blockage resulting in communication “blind” spots. Radiating cables provide the solution when obstructions are high and where multiple services such as cellular, PCS, paging and emergency communications are required.

Underground Systems
Underground areas such as tunnels, metros, garages and mines are isolated from RF coverage. AirCell® Radiating cables enable communication to continue without interruption while traveling through these areas.

AirCell® Radiating cables are designed for the following applications:

  • Tunnels
  • Hospitals
  • Arenas
  • Mines
  • Airports
  • High rise buildings
  • Shopping centers
  • In-train
  • Vessels

AirCell® Radiating Cable Benefits:

  • True Broadband Cable and future proof
One cable is suitable for all frequencies (75MHz to 3.0 GHz), therefore is future proof to allow RF frequency modifications/or additions at later time. Whereas with other cable in the market today, you will have to add another set of cable to allow different frequencies to be added in the future when it becomes necessary.
  • No Water Migration
The unique design eliminates water migration for 15 years, thus reduce ongoing maintenance cost and service interruptions during the cable life cycle.
  • Lowest attenuation/ Coupling loss
Patented air dielectric design and 91% velocity of propagation in AirCell® Radiating cables provide optimal coupling loss and the lowest attenuation available today. This means continuous radio coverage for longer distances over a broad frequency range.
  • Superior tensile strength
AirCell Radiating 1 5/8” cable is 7 1/2 times stronger than competitor’s cable (1,500 lb versus 200 lb tensile strength). It is more durable and less likely to damage during installation and will last longer in the tunnel environment, thus further reduce maintenance cost.
  • Recommend 2” cable spacing from wall versus 4” from other competition
It presents advantage when install cable in tight/crowded tunnel environment.
  • Requires less hanging clicks
6 feet clamp spacing is required versus 4.9 feet from competition for 1-5/8” size, and 6 feet versus 2 to 3 feet for other sizes.
  • Easier cable to install thus reduce installation time required
No specific angle direction is required, easier connectorization steps and lighter cable makes installation faster with lower labor cost. This is of extreme importance in tunnels with limited access time for installation.
  • 100% Cables are made in United States
Stringent quality control, in time delivery, and superior customer service will further reduce your overall cost.
